We see our role as much more than that of a trading company or a solution provider: following our customer’s previous visit to discuss their future expansion, we are now helping them — and many other battery makers in the region — step up their capabilities to meet the requirements of an increasingly demanding market.
During our customer’s most recent visit to China, a milestone was reached with the completion and testing of what will soon become the first grid punching line in the history of the Argentinian battery industry. This plate production technology, already present in Brazil and common across Asia, Europe, and North America, will allow our customer to significantly reduce production costs by almost doubling their current output.
The DSC Group is proud to have played a part in this groundbreaking development, accompanying our client throughout the whole process — from early online discussions and supplier visits to select the most suitable equipment, to a thorough revision of their plate and grid designs — and we will continue to support them as the line is installed and becomes operational later this year.
